There’s something wrong with this house
You can see it from the street
I mean, even the roof looks angry
The windows are dark
What do they hide
I don’t want to know; I’d much rather just walk on by
But the voice in my head says to “go inside”
Eyes open wide; armor held high….

There’s no air in this room, the furnace blew out
Neglect takes it’s toll like a bandit with time
It’s dusty and dark, something’s not right
I open a window and let in the warm sun
Light hits the walls and this house simply jumps to life
It’s just bricks and wood, but the bones are still good

With a little love we can put this old house back together again
With a lot of love we can bring back the glory
With some blood sweat and tears we can turn back the years to a simpler time

Maple and mahogany move to the light
Leaded glass and copper awaken
Beams of light are washing the cobwebs away
Little universes in motion
Fire up the furnace and let’s sweat tonight
We know it’s got a solid foundation
